Afterward, your skin might be a tad red and bumpy, but that’s totally normal. It’ll calm down in a few hours.
And hey, don’t sweat it (literally) for the next 24 hours. No hot showers or saunas or big workouts. Sweat carries bacteria which can create tiny infections in the follicles. Let your skin calm down first.

In the past (and with cheaper technologies) IPL, Diode and ND:Yag don't effectively see hair follicles with barely any color in the follicle (like blondes and redheads).
The Alexandrite laser is the go-to for people with blonde hair and fair skin. The 755-nanometer wavelength is the optimal wavelength for selective photothermolysis of blonde hair, which means it can target the lighter pigment in blonde and light brown hair more effectively than longer-wavelength lasers.

It’s all about meing the safest type of laser and then making sure to cool the skin before, during and after. I even take your temperature throughout the process to make sure that your skin is safe.
The ND:YAG laser is like the superhero of lasers when it comes to treating darker skin tones. How does it do it? Well, this laser operates at a longer wavelength compared to some others, like the Alexandrite or diode lasers. This longer wavelength means it can penetrate deeper into the skin without messing too much with the top layer that contains the pigment. So, it's great for zapping away hair or dealing with other skin issues without causing much damage to that beautiful melanin-rich skin. Plus, it's less likely to cause pigmentation changes or burns, which is super important when you're dealing with darker skin tones. So, if you've got darker skin and you're looking for a safe and effective laser treatment, the ND:YAG laser's got your back (or Brazilian, or legs, or mustache…)
So, that's the deal with laser hair removal. It's a bit of a process, but trust me, the results are worth it! And it CAN be safe and it can permanently remove almost all of your body hair.

So, what's it feel like? Just a warm prickle/stingle as the laser zaps those follicles. Most people find it totally bearable, and my clients love it, especially if they've tried other machines before.
